“Different Rules”

What they tell you at seminary and what they tell you in the synagogue world are two different things.
The seminary is being paid to tell you what you want to hear. The synagogue world isn’t, the synagogue world is doing the buying this time. Different rules.
At first it can feel a bit depressing. Don’t worry, after a while you get used to it and after a while, you start finding it frankly quite liberating.
